Teaching remotely

Live lessons, personalised support and educational continuity for expatriate students or students in special situations.

Since this year, our Athéna Montessori school has been successfully offering a distance learning for primary, secondary and high school pupils who live abroad or are faced with specific situations such as school phobia.

Accessible in France and abroad

Our establishment has put in place an efficient system of live distance learning. Thanks to the installation of computers and cameras in each classroom, lessons are transmitted in real time, guaranteeing high-quality educational continuity.

A response to school phobia

Some students find it difficult to attend school because of a disability. school phobia. The scheme offers them a reassuring and effective alternative, with individualised support to help them get back on track with their education.

Enhanced interaction

To avoid any isolation from school, we have introduced interactive tools such as a class WhatsApp group, This social link enables everyone to progress in a caring environment. This social link enables everyone to progress in a caring environment.

Rigorous educational supervision

Our teachers provide personalised follow-up for each remote student. Students take part in all lessons, complete homework assignments and take assessments in real-life conditions, just like their classmates.

School phobia

Many parents today find themselves at a loss when faced with the academic and emotional difficulties encountered by their teenagers. School phobia, whether at collège or lycée, is affecting more and more teenagers and can set in gradually, often linked to an accumulation of stress, anxiety, loss of confidence or academic pressure. In these situations, it is essential to find a a supportive environment for adolescents as it is, without judgement or haste.

At Athena Collège and Lycée International Montessori, we welcome students with these issues every year. Our priority is to establish a climate of trust, both with the young people and their families. Fully personalised support Each pupil is treated as an individual, with his or her own history, pace and specific needs. We take the time needed to rebuild a peaceful relationship with school and learning.

Thanks to the kindness and attentiveness of the teaching team, the absence of unnecessary pressure and a great deal of organisational flexibility, we are able to adapt academic expectations, assessment methods, timetables and, where necessary, the pace of resumption of lessons. This gradual approach enables teenagers to regain their self-confidence, reduce their anxiety and, step by step, rediscover the pleasure of learning.

Parents see a positive change: their child goes back to school with greater peace of mind, gradually integrates into the life of the school and rediscovers a dynamic for success. The majority of pupils are able to continue their education right up to the baccalauréat, with good or even excellent results. Above and beyond academic success, our aim is to help each young person achieve a lasting personal balance, so that they become confident, fulfilled adults ready to embark on higher education and a career path that suits them.

An enriching experience in full expansion

This distance learning project is a genuine educational success, It's a great experience for both the students and the teaching team. On the strength of this experience, we are ready to welcome new long-distance students and offer them a demanding, humane learning environment that respects their individual pace.

Les Avantages d'un Établissement Hors Contrat - Athéna Montessori

The benefits of Montessori Athena International

There are many advantages to a non-contractual school. Our bilingual Montessori school in the Paris region meets the needs of many pupils.

1

Low staffing levels

One of the biggest advantages is the small class size. Classes rarely exceed 15 students. In lycée, our classes often have around 10 or 12 pupils.

It is clear that this allows to teachers to take better care of each individual. They can also respond better to the needs of each student. They know their students much better. A relationship of trust is established between them.

Students thrive much better in a small class. They can ask questions and be sure of getting answers.

When they don't understand certain lessons, they have quick and easy access to additional personalised explanations.

For students who have experienced relationship difficulties or some kind of school phobia or social problems, it's much easier to regain the enthusiasm for learning and going to class.

2

Educational freedom

In our school (which is not under contract), the teachers have a free hand in teaching and follow the National Education syllabus in order to prepare students for the national examinations.

This pedagogical freedom allows teachers fully adapt to the needs of each student examinations. Thanks to their extensive experience, they know exactly what is expected of students. That's why our students have such a success.

3

The choice of the teaching team

We have total freedom in the choice of our teachers, since we are the ones who recruit them and their salaries are paid by the families' school fees. Our recruitment criteria are very specific: firstly, experience and a caring attitude. Then there's the desire to work in a different way and to establish a good relationship with the students.

And also the motivation to lead our students to success for so long. in their results than for their future.

Our teaching team is very stable and relations between the teachers are very good. Students work in a friendly, calm atmosphere.
