Image rights
1. General principle
In accordance with Article 9 of the Civil Code, everyone has an exclusive right over their image and its use.
As part of its educational activities, the school ATHENA – Athéna International Montessori School, a private, independent school located in Bailly, may take photographs and videos of the pupils.
2. Purpose of the shots
The images may only be used for the following purposes:
Internal communication (educational materials, notices within the establishment)
Institutional communication (website, official social media)
School presentation materials (brochures, pamphlets, information packs)
Publications relating to the life of the institution
No commercial use of the pupils' images is made.
3. Prior authorisation
No images of a minor pupil are published without:
Prior written authorisation from the legal representatives
Signing a specific image rights assignment form
This authorisation specifies:
The relevant supports
The duration of use
The diffusion perimeter
Parents can refuse or withdraw their consent at any time.
4. Withdrawal of consent
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), legal representatives may request:
Deleting a posted image
The removal of digital content
The diffusion limitation

5. Protection and security
The images are stored securely and are never sold or passed on to third parties without permission.
The school ensures the dignity, safety and the best interests of children are upheld in all communications.
6. Third-party liability
Any unauthorised reproduction or use of images from the establishment's website is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal proceedings in accordance with current laws.
